With this new transfer, Euronext Brussels welcomed a total of 15 companies having made the move from Nasdaq Europe.

Five of them had decided at an early stage to have a secondary listing on Euronext Brussels in order to offer their investors in the Eurozone a more transparent and more liquid trading platform:

Ten additional international companies have made the move since Nasdaq Europe announced on 26 June 2003, to discontinue its activities on 30 November. Olivier Lefebvre, Executive Vice-President and Member of the Managing Board of Euronext, said: "The transfer to Euronext of the companies listed on Nasdaq Europe which started long before the announcement of the closing of that market, is a strong indicator that the Euronext cross border model is the right one, including for smaller companies. Indeed, it combines the virtues of a home market and the international dimension of the largest equity market in the eurozone."
