Microtech International, which listed on NewConnect on 16 September 2009, was the 100th debut on this market and the 15th listing this year. From August 2008 until the end of June 2009, 35 companies listed on NewConnect which made the market an IPO leader among European alternative trading systems.
The alternative trading system operated by the WSE currently lists 98 stocks (two companies, Centrum Klima and MW Trade, have moved to the WSE Main List).
The average market value of a NC-listed company is PLN19m (ca. EUR4.6m). NewConnect is the most dynamic alternative trading system in Europe. On average, a new company is listed every eight days since the market was launched. NewConnect currently has 29 market members, 73 Authorised Advisers, and over 2,500 registered members in the NewConnect AllThePeople community.
NewConnect was created as a platform for financing and secondary trading for innovative and high growth companies. The biggest number of companies listed on NewConnect operate in Other Services and Technology followed by Construction, Trade, IT, and Investments.

From August 2008 until the end of June 2009, 35 companies listed on NewConnect which made the market an IPO leader among European alternative trading systems, moving ahead of London’s AIM (22 IPOs). NewConnect, which has recently celebrated its second anniversary, reported the highest ever value of trading in stocks at PLN 181 million in August 2009.
