EEX Welcomes Transmission System Operator NetConnect Germany As A New Participant On The Natural Gas Market
European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) welcomes NetConnect Germany GmbH & Co. KG (NCG) as a new member on the exchange. The company was admitted to trading on the Natural Gas Spot Market (NCG market area) as the first gas transmission system operator. IMF Managing Director Proposes Appointment Of Naoyuki Shinohara As Deputy Managing Director
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has proposed the appointment of Naoyuki Shinohara, to the position of Deputy Managing Director. Mr. Shinohara, a former Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs of Japan, will succeed Takatoshi Kato.

ASX Group Monthly Activity Report – September 2009
Values of ASX-listed stocks rose for the seventh consecutive month as global markets continued to move higher. Volatility in Australian equity markets (as measured by daily movements in the All Ordinaries Index) remained relatively subdued again this month with average daily movements of 0.8%, similar to volatility levels experienced in US markets.

Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency And Dubai International Financial Centre Collaborate To Promote Foreign Direct Investment In Middle East And North Africa - MoU With The World Bank's MIGA Will Assist Cross-Border Financing In The Arab World
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote foreign direct investment (FDI) into the Middle East and North Africa. Under the MoU, MIGA and DIFC will explore opportunities for co-branding of existing political risk insurance products, joint business development efforts, and development of a mutual referral process.
