Turquoise To Launch US Equity Trading
Turquoise today announces that it is to expand its trading services into US securities, leveraging the relationship between Euro CPP and DTCC. The move will make Turquoise the first European multilateral trading facility (MTF) to offer trading during European trading hours of US-listed equities, ETFs and ADRs alongside pan-European trading in 19 markets.

SMARTS, a global supplier of market surveillance systems, would like to advise that Swedbank has recently implemented the SMARTS.broker trade surveillance service, which will provide Swedbank with a comprehensive suite of monitoring and alert services across the OMX Nordic markets (including First North) and Aktietorget. In the second phase of the service roll-out, it is anticipated that coverage will be extended to Burgundy MTF, OMX Derivatives and OMX Baltic markets.

STOXX Launches Euro STOXX 50 Dividend Points Futures Index - New index Licensed To Lyxor ETF To Underlie Exchange-Traded Fund
STOXX Limited, a global index provider and creator of the leading European equity indices, today announced the launch of the EURO STOXX 50 Dividend Points Futures Index. The new index measures the performance of a hypothetical portfolio, in which an equal amount is invested into the one to five year EUREX futures contracts listed on the EURO STOXX 50 Dividend Points (DVP). The futures contracts are fully collateralized by a daily investment into the EONIA market (Euro OverNight Index Average)

NASDAQ OMX To Launch Nordic Fund Market
NASDAQ OMX announces that it will launch a new Nordic fund market aimed at investment fund distributors. The Nordic Fund Market (NFM) intends to provide an electronic alternative to manage the transactions between fund distributors and fund management companies. Today these transactions are predominately handled manually via fax. NFM will launch in Sweden at the end of April this year with the goal to eventually roll out the offering in all Nordic countries.

I appreciate all the work you do, along with the Investors’ Working Group, to protect investor interests in America. I recall working closely with you when I worked on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002, and I look forward to continuing to get the Council’s views on essential financial reform legislation.
