RTS Index Futures Record Exceeds 1 Million Volume
On October 22, 2009 the market participants completed a record number of trades on FORTS, RTS’s derivatives section – 511,263. The previous record was set on October 21, 2009, when the number of trades reached 491,882. The largest block of trading was in the flagship RTS Index contract, which recorded 330,434 trades.

Deutsche Börse Adapts Model For Professional Use Of Indices - Business Model Aligned With International Practice - Basic Information Remains Free Of Charge
Deutsche Börse announced today the transition of its model for professional and commercial use of its indices. The previous licenses for the indices are to be replaced by use-based access to the main index parameters as of 1 January 2010. However, the licensing applicable to index trademarks for marketing and identification purposes remains unchanged.

NASDAQ OMX Nordic Introduces Harmonized Tick Sizes - New European Tick Size Regime For Most Liquid Equities In Stockholm, Helsinki And Copenhagen
NASDAQ OMX Nordic, part of the NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc, today announces the timetable for implementing European harmonized tick sizes for the most liquid shares on its exchanges in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen. The new tick size regime for the constituents of the main Nordic tradable indices will be implemented on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm on October 26, followed by the Helsinki and Copenhagen equity markets on January 4, 2010.
