The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has announced that it has achieved its goal, set in 2005, of having its eligible membership sign onto or committed to sign the Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding concerning Consultation, Cooperation and the Exchange of Information (MMoU).

Japan's Financial Services Agency: Development Of Institutional Frameworks Pertaining To Financial And Capital Markets
With regard to the “Draft Blueprint for the Development of Institutional Frameworks,” which was published on December 17, 2009, the Financial Services Agency (FSA) held meetings to exchange opinions with market participants and others and received a number of opinions. The FSA also invited opinions through its website, resulting in a total of 163 opinions being received from 43 individuals and groups.

HKEx: Interruption Of Dissemination Of Hang Seng Indexes
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) was informed by Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL) this morning that HSIL's index system was interrupted. As a result, the dissemination of HSIL's indexes through HKEx's trading and information systems was suspended between approximately 10:00 am and 10:32 am. At approximately 10:33 am, HSIL was able to resume its calculation and dissemination of the indexes.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices
Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The unitholders of Enerflex Systems Income Fund (TSX:EFX.UN) have approved the cash and share offer from Toromont Industries Ltd. (TSX:TIH). Enerflex will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Income Trust and Capped Energy Trust, the S&P/TSX Completion, the S&P/TSX SmallCap and the S&P/TSX Capped Energy indices.
