Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index
Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, February 3, 2011:
- Eurogas Corporation (TSXVN:EUG) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the same ticker symbol.

CFTC Sanctions New York Resident James M. Peister And His Company, Northstar International Group, Inc., More Than $11 Million To Settle CFTC Anti-Fraud Action
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today filed and simultaneously settled charges that James M. Peister and his company, Northstar International Group, Inc. (Northstar), defrauded commodity pool participants by concealing trading losses and using participants’ funds to make payments to other participants and for business and personal expenses. Peister resides in St. James, N.Y., and Northstar is located in Oceanside, N.Y.

SEC Charges TD Ameritrade For Failing To Supervise Its Representatives Who Sold Shares Of The Reserve Yield Plus Fund
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged TD Ameritrade Inc. for failing to reasonably supervise its registered representatives, some of whom misled customers when selling shares of the Reserve Yield Plus Fund, a mutual fund that "broke the buck" in September 2008.

SEC Charges AXA Rosenberg Entities For Concealing Error In Quantitative Investment Model - Firms Agree To Pay More Than $240 Million To Settle SEC Charges
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged three AXA Rosenberg entities with securities fraud for concealing a significant error in the computer code of the quantitative investment model that they use to manage client assets. The error caused $217 million in investor losses.
