CFTC Seeks Public Comment On Request From The Options Clearing Corporation To Amend Order Permitting Operation Of An Internal Non-Proprietary Cross-Margining Program
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) is requesting public comment on a petition submitted by the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) to amend a November 5, 2004 Order issued by the Commission under Section 4d of the Commodity Exchange Act. The Order permits OCC to operate an internal non-proprietary cross-margining program for market professional customers who trade futures products and securities products that are cleared by OCC in its capacity as a derivatives clearing organization and a securities clearing agency, respectively.

Change In Head Of Capital Markets Department At European Investment Bank
EIB today announced that Barbara Bargagli-Petrucci, currently Director and Head of the Capital Markets Department at the EIB will go into retirement. She will be succeeded by Eila Kreivi, currently Head of Funding for the Americas, Asia & Pacific at the EIB. The succession will take place effective 1 April 2011.

Monetary Authority Of Singapore Consults On Proposal To Regulate Credit Rating Agencies
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today released a consultation paper on proposed regulation of credit rating agencies (CRAs). In line with global developments and to conform with international standards and practices, MAS is proposing to regulate activities conducted by CRAs. This is to ensure that Singapore remains an attractive location for CRAs to operate in.
