Herbie Skeete, Managing Director, Mondo Visione and Co-founder of the Index said:

"HKEX reported its second consecutive quarterly profit fall at the end of October. Blowback from Beijing's property crisis and fewer Chinese companies listing in Hong Kong have impacted HKEX's revenue, which was flat as investment income fell. In addition, operating expenses for the quarter rose on higher staff, and IT costs. As a result, HKEX has now fallen from being the top exchange by market capitalisation to number 3. However, the good news for HKEX is that there is a bit of a gap to number 4."
