Tokyo Stock Exchange:TOPIX Dissemination Interval Change To Securities Companies, Information Vendors, And others - From 1 Minute To 15 Seconds

From today, April 18, 2005- Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) has changed the dissemination interval of TOPIX and its sub-indices to every 15 seconds today. The indices used to be disseminated once a minute to securities companies, information vendors, and others through TSE's Market Information System (MAINS).

TOPIX and its sub-indices are widely used as indicators that accurately express movement in the Tokyo stock market. This change is aimed to reflect market movements in a timelier manner and thereby enhance the function of the indices as such indicators.
