NZX markets development manager Geoff Brown said Pumpkin Patch was a strong brand that was recognised throughout New Zealand.
“Pumpkin Patch is a well-known company with a quality product and a widely recognised brand,” he said. “Because of that, we're extremely happy to see this company choosing listing as its preferred means for future growth and expansion.”
Pumpkin Patch managing director, Maurice Prendergast, said the company saw listing on the NZSX Market as a further step in its ongoing growth path. “We're looking forward to a positive and successful future as a listed company,” he said.
The children's clothing retailer is the eleventh New Zealand company to list securities on one of NZX's markets this year. Its listing follows an initial public offer of shares that closed over-subscribed on Friday. The offer received a high level of demand from retail and institutional investors, showing the high public regard the company is held in.
Pumpkin Patch shares will be quoted on the NZSX Market under the issuer code ‘PPL' from 11am today.
