ESMA Adds CCP.A To List Of Registered CCPs Under EMIR

ESMA has today added CCP.A, based in Austria, to its list of registered CCPs under the European Markets Infrastructure Regualtion (EMIR). EMIR requires EU-based CCPs to be registered and non-EU CCPs to be recognised in the European Union (EU).

As investors digest new eurozone GDP data released today, European equity market indices have lost ground relative to other developed global equity markets in the third quarter. After returning 6.8% in the first half of 2014, the Russell Developed Europe Index has lost (-3.7%) in the third quarter as of 12 August.

Moscow Exchange will offer repo transactions with the Bank of Russia (in trading modes 'repo with the Bank of Russia: repo auction' and 'repo with the Bank of Russia: fixed rate') and interdealer repo transactions (in trading mode 'repo with bonds'), in addition to 10 Eurobonds from the Bank of Russia's Lombard list from 14 August 2014.
