Deutsche Börse Updates Weightings In Equity Indices

Effective December 23, new weights will apply for the companies in the equity indices of Deutsche Börse. The index provider released the tentative figures on Wednesday. The final figures, based on Friday's Xetra closing prices, will be published on Saturday at the Deutsche Börse Web site.

The exchange called attention to the previously announced changes in the composition of its DAX, MDAX and SDAX indices. These changes will also be implemented as of December 23.

As previously reported, Deutsche Börse will move up into the DAX blue-chip index, taking the place of Epcos , which is being included in the MDAX. Autania, Medisana, Surteco and Washtec are moving up into the SDAX, where they will replace CapitalStage, SM Wirtschaftsberatung, TFG Venture Capital and Vogt Electronic.
