The security futures web pages (at http://www.cftc.gov/sfp/sfpmain.htm) detail CFTC and SEC requirements for exchanges and intermediaries; contain links to relevant notices and forms from the National Futures Association, the National Association of Securities Dealers, and the Intermarket Surveillance Group; and provide other useful background information.
CFTC Chairman James Newsome noted that: "These new risk management tools are likely to be of interest to a wide variety of investors, portfolio managers, and risk professionals. We want to make this information readily available and easily accessible. Today, that means putting it on the Internet. We hope that market participants and others will utilize this new CFTC resource and will provide us feedback so that we may continually improve its usefulness."
