    The Chairman of the Australian Stock Exchange, Mr Maurice Newman, announced today that following the unanimous decision of the ASX Board, Mr Tony D’Aloisio has accepted the position as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ASX. This appointment will follow the retirement of Mr Richard Humphry.     The FSA today confirms that it is formally investigating various issues surrounding recent announcements made by The "Shell" Transport and Trading Company, PLC. The FSA has been conducting enquiries into this matter for some weeks now, including gathering and analysing documentary evidence, and has been in close contact with the relevant overseas regulators throughout.

  • The Copenhagen Stock Exchange Welcomes Swedish-Finnish Merger

    Today, OM HEX and VPC issued a declaration of intent to merge the Swedish securities depository, VPC, and the Finnish securities depository, APK, owned by OM HEX, under the name NCSD. EXIGO, OM HEX’s newly developed system for securities depositories, will be implemented in Finland already in 2005-2006, later it will also be implemented in Sweden. NCSD has acquired the right to use EXIGO throughout the entire Nordic region.
