Today Unieuro debuts on the STAR segment of Borsa Italiana. It is the 7th listing since the beginning of the year and the first on the Main Market.
Unieuro is one of the largest Italian chains of consumer electronics and household appliances by number of outlets. The recent merger with Marcopolo has created a new reality present throughout the whole national territory.
Unieuro raised about €70 million at IPO with a market capitalisation of about €220 million. Mediobanca is the sponsor and Citigroup, Credit Suisse and Mediobanca are the global coordinators of the offering and joint bookrunners. Unicredit is a joint bookrunner.
MTA’s STAR segment is dedicated to middle sized companies with a market capitalization between €40 million and €1 billion, which respect transparency, corporate governance and liquidity requirements.
Barbara Lunghi, Head of Primary Markets, Borsa Italiana, comments:
“We are very pleased to welcome Unieuro on the STAR segment. Listing represents an important step for the company with an already strong history of constant growth, this is a move forward to increase their own business through accesses to capital markets. STAR companies are particularly appreciated by international investors, a fundamental asset for the industry of reference”.
