In November 2010, the CEE Stock Exchange Group (CEESEG, includes the exchanges of Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana and Prague) also attained the position of the largest exchange group in the region. Equity trading volume from the start of the year until November 2010 was EUR 133.5 billion, i.e., 57.49% of the total trading volume in the CEE region. Market capitalization as of 30 November 2010 was EUR 140.8 billion which corresponds to 43.29% of market capitalization of the CEE region.
The goal of the CEE Stock Exchange Group is to strengthen the regional capital markets through cooperation: Joint data dissemination, index licensing and road shows are the means used to attract international attention to the exchanges of the Group. Additionally, liquidity at the member exchanges is to be increased by the standardization of the trading systems and thereby simplifying market access for all trading participants. The vision of CEESEG is to enable members to trade on all four markets under the same conditions.
