Date 13/01/2003

Singapore Exchange (SGX) today announced a one-year SGXAccess trading fee rebate scheme for brokers who trade via SGXAccess.

Currently, brokers pay an SGXAccess trading fee of 0.0075% of the total trade value. Under the scheme, a rebate of 0.0025% will be credited to the Member Companies at the end of each quarter. For example, brokers paying $0.75 for $10,000 worth of trades will be entitled to a rebate of $0.25 at the end of the quarter. The rebate scheme is effective between 1 February 2003 and 31 January 2004.

SGXAccess is key to the exchange's international development and growth strategies aimed at increasing market depth and liquidity, and extending SGX's reach. Since its launch in March 2001, a total of 11 SGX-ST Member Companies have adopted SGXAccess.

Gan Seow Ann, EVP and Head of Securities Trading at SGX said," We are pleased to offer this rebate to our broking community and hope that this will encourage more member firms to adopt SGXAccess and accelerate our move towards more efficient access to our securities market."
