Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has revoked the Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (CMSRL) of Cheng Seng Chow (Cheng) under section 72 read together with section 65(1)(l) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, effective 7 March 2017.
Cheng’s CMSRL was revoked as SC has reason to believe that he is no longer fit and proper to carry out regulated activities in the Malaysian capital market. He was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on 8 December 2015 with 15 counts of abetting in the commission of the offence of insider trading under Section 370(c) read together with Section 188(2)(a) of the CMSA.
Cheng was formerly attached with JF Apex Securities Bhd.
