SEB announces a number of appointments as part of an internal re-organisation. The aim of these is to focus efforts on core areas of growth and put in place a structure which best positions SEB for the future.
The following moves within SEB Merchant Banking take effect from 1 November 2010:
- Joachim Alpen will become Head of Trading & Capital Markets, reporting to Magnus Carlsson, Head of Merchant Banking.
- Fredrik Barnekow becomes Head of SEB Enskilda Equities, also reporting to Magnus Carlsson.
The following changes, also effective from 1 November 2010, will take place across the rest of SEB:
- Anders Mossberg assumes a new position as Senior Adviser to the CEO, focusing on strategic life insurance issues as well as coordinating SEB’s savings offering. Mossberg was previously Head of SEB’s Life business since 1990.
- Jan Stjernström, formerly Head of SEB Trygg Liv Sweden, will replace Anders Mossberg as Head of SEB's Life division.
- Fredrik Boheman has been appointed Head of SEB Germany. Previously Head of SEB Wealth Management, Boheman has a strong background in relationship and corporate banking.
- Ingrid Engström assumes a new position as Senior Adviser to Fredrik Boheman in Germany where she will support organisational and change management. Engström was previously Head of Group HR and Organisational Development.
- Jan Sinclair, currently Head of SEB Germany, will become Deputy Chief Risk Officer (CRO), SEB Group, as of the first quarter 2011, a new position reporting to Group CRO Johan Andersson.
- Anders Johnsson will become Head of Wealth Management. Johnson is currently Head of Trading & Capital Markets within Merchant Banking, and has extensive experience in both capital markets and private banking.
- Ulf Peterson will become Head of Group HR, moving from his role as Head of Staff, Retail Banking. His previous experience with SEB includes both staff functions and business areas.

The appointment of the Head of SEB Germany is subject to the approval of the supervisory board and the regulatory authority in Germany.
