CESR Recommends The European Institutions Introduce A Pan-European Short Selling Disclosure Regime

Eurex To Expand Its Volatility Derivatives Offering - Launch Of New VSTOXX® Options As Of 22 March 2010
The international derivatives exchange Eurex today announced that it will expand its offering of volatility index derivatives based on VSTOXX. The new options contract will be launched on 22 March 2010 and complement the existing VSTOXX mini future. This step will increase the offering of volatility derivatives that are centrally cleared via Eurex Clearing, thereby mitigating counterparty risks. The VSTOXX index calculates the implied volatility of the EURO STOXX 50 options.

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that February volume averaged 12.5 million contracts per day, up 17 percent from February 2009. Total volume was 238 million contracts for February, of which a record 84 percent was traded electronically. National Spot Exchange (NSEL) Turnover At Rs.400 Plus Crores - The Exchange Has Achieved This Feat Within A Record Period Of One Year
National Spot Exchange (NSEL), an electronic market place for spot trading in commodities, recorded a delivery based turnover of Rs.411 crores in the month of February 2010. The total volumes includes Castor seed valued at Rs.215.61 crore, Cottonseed wash oil valued at Rs.34.90 crore, Gold at Rs.126.50 crore, Silver at Rs.26.30 crore, Cotton( bales) at Rs.6.17 crore and castor oil at Rs. 0.89 crore, apart from some volume recorded in Urad and Tur.

HKEx: Arrangements For Adjustment Of China Merchants Bank Futures And Options
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announced the arrangements for the adjustment to the contract terms of all open China Merchants Bank's (CMB) futures and option contracts in existence after the market close on 5 March 2010, the business day immediately before the ex-rights day, which is 8 March 2010, to account for CMB's 1.3 H rights shares for every 10 existing H shares.
