Julius Baer Nordic Becomes The 7th New Member Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange In 2001

On 14 May 2001, Julius Baer Nordic commences trading on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. At the same time the company also commences trading at the Stockholm Exchange.

Julius Baer Nordic is a newly established brokerage-filial in Stockholm, of the Zurich based Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. The range of services offered by the company includes portfolio management and investment advisory services for private clients and institutional investors, investment funds, brokerage as well as securities and foreign exchange trading. The company is a part of the Julius Bear Group, which was founded in 1890 and is one of the leading asset management banks in Switzerland. The Julius Baer Group has offices in 14 countries and employs some 2,300 staff members world wide.

The Julius Baer Group has been attracted to the Nordic countries by the excellent long-term outlook of the local markets. The main purpose of the activities will be to provide international institutional investors and domestic Nordic institutions with brokerage services covering European including Nordic equities. By expanding in the Nordic area, Julius Baer's pan-European brokerage network will now be basically completed.

Julius Baer is the 7th new member that the Copenhagen Stock Exchange has the pleasure of welcoming this year, and thus the Exchange has 46 active member firms.
