As per the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) keenness to support the issues that contribute to the society’s development, EGX lighted its central headquarters in blue color in cooperation with the Egyptian Association of Autism, participating in the events of the World Autism Day, which corresponds to the second of April each year.
Mohamed Farid, EGX Chairman said that supporting the issues that contribute to the society’s development is commendable, and important for EGX management in order to support all parties to perform an active role in achieving the desired development.
He stated that patients are citizens with all the rights and integrating them into the society is their inherent right and the community could take advantage of their energies and potential.
Farid said that the role of the capital market is not just a platform to provide funding for projects, growth and expansion, but has an active social role to contribute to the sustainable development and improving the people's living conditions, as well as striving to raise the knowledge and awareness of the business community about the importance and the way to participate in issues related to sustainable development.
EGX is a founding member of the United Nations Sustainable Exchanges initiative, which emphasizes the importance of the stock exchanges’ role and participation in sustainable development issues and the provision of financing to achieve development objectives.
