Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced today the launch of its Summer Training Programme 2010 in which 17 students representing several schools and universities are participating in the annual programme over a 6 week period ending August 12th 2010. The students will be trained for 6 hours per day from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
Taybah Abdul Mannan, Assistant Vice President - Head of Human Capital Department, DFM said: "The DFM Summer Training Programme is another initiative that demonstrates DFM’s ongoing support to the new generations of talented young people. DFM has been organizing the programme since 2004. Undoubtedly, the great success of the programme in achieving its objectives has played a major role in the continuation and development of this programme, which reflects DFM’s ongoing commitment to training and developing UAE nationals”.
“The training programme consists of a series of in-depth workshops, designed to develop student’s capabilities and prepare them to address the requirements of the job market. The students will gain a vast amount of experience and insight through interaction with the experts and professionals in financial markets. This interaction will give students the chance to develop their educational knowledge and put it into practice. This year we have added an orientation week to educate students about DFM, its objectives and mission to further enhance their knowledge of the UAE financial markets and listed public joint stock companies,” she added.
The 17 trainees have been placed within various departments and in some brokerage firms. Every trainee will be entitled to a money prize of 2500-3000 AED per month in addition to certificates.
