Depozitarul Central is hosting, on 15th -16th of May 2019 in Bucharest, the Annual General Assembly meeting of the members of the European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA).
The event will be attended by representatives of central securities depositaries in Europe, including: ATHEXCSD (Greece), Clearstream Banking AG (Germany), CDAD (Bulgaria), CRHoV (Serbia), CRHoV RS (Bosnia & Hercegovina), CSD Prague (Czech Republic), Iberclear (Spain), KDD (Slovenia), ID2S (France), Interbolsa (Portugal), Keler Ltd (Hungary), KDPW (Poland), Nasdaq CSD SE (Latvia/Estonia/Lithuania), NCSDI (Iceland), NSD (Russia), OEKB CSD (Austria), RVP (Bosnia Hercegovina), SIX SIS Ltd (Switzerland) and Depozitarul Central (Romania).

Since 2007, Depozitarul Central is a full member of the European Central Depositories Association (ECSDA) which enhance the direct access to information and the cooperation with the European CSDs. Depozitarul Central has been actively involved in legislative projects, both on CSD’s activity and other areas of interest that can have impact on CSDs.

ECSDA (European Central Securities Depositories Association) was formed in 1997 in Madrid. The association provides a forum for European CSDs to exchange views and take forward projects of mutual interest. It aims to promote a constructive dialogue between the CSD community, European public authorities and other stakeholders aiming at contributing to an efficient and risk-averse infrastructure for European financial markets. ECSDA represents 40 central securities depositories (CSDs) across 36 European countries. Currently, ECSDA has five working group focused on Risk Management, Compliance, Harmonization in the area of Corporate actions and general meetings, Settlement and Policy. The association also provides a forum for exchange of information on the new technology and cyber resilience best practices.
