Chicago Stock Exchange Reaches New Single Daily Volume Record In April

The CHX topped all previous share volume records on April 18, when share volume peaked at 165,668,874. The Exchange also experienced its seventh busiest day in CHX history on April 19, when share volume reached 142,354,432.

Share volume in April was 2,644,742,494 and trade volume was 4,809,177. OTC share volume in April was 1,210,114,906 and OTC trade volume was 2, 760,650.

April 2001, Extended Trading Hours Share Volume was 6,133,024 No seat sales were posted during the month of April.

The Chicago Stock Exchange was founded May 15, 1882 and is the second most active stock exchange in terms of share and trade volume.
