RTS Derivatives Market Turns 8
Last Saturday, September 19, FORTS marked its 8th anniversary. On its first day of trading market participants were offered the opportunity to trade in four equity futures contracts (on Gazprom, RAO "UES of Russia", ??? "LUKOIL" and Surgutneftegas stocks) and 2 option contracts on futures underlined by Gazprom and RAO "UES of Russia" stocks. On September 19, 2001 the participants executed 673 trades with a value of 65.2 million roubles or 2.2 million US dollars.

Polish Regulator Approved Changes In Warsaw Stock Exchange ATS Regulations
On 21 September 2009, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority approved changes in WSE Alternative Trading System Regulations which will allow to launch the unregulated Catalyst bond markets on 6 October 2009. The regulated Catalyst markets will open on 30 September 2009.

EEX/Eurex Launch New Emission Rights Contracts
The European Energy Exchange (EEX) and Eurex are expanding the offering of futures on emission rights. Pending approval of the EEX Exchange Council, the new futures will be launched as of 27 October 2009. The partners will be offering new EUA and CER futures with a different maturity and delivery date, in addition to the contracts already offered.
