    Gold futures trading set a record during the September 27 session on the New York Mercantile Exchange ACCESS® electronic trading system when 6,785 contracts were traded, surpassing the previous record of 3,780 contracts traded on May 7, 1999.

Interest rate products will stop trading at 12:00 Noon Central Time, equity options and other CBOE products that normally stop trading at 3:02 p.m. will end at 12:02 p.m. OEX, SPX, DJX and other CBOE products that normally stop at 3:15 p.m. will end trading at 12:15 p.m. Central Time.

    For the first time, over 75,000 E-mini Standard & Poor's 500 equity index futures contracts traded during Tuesday's trading session at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Tuesday's total E-mini S&P 500 volume of 75,270 positions was 11 percent higher than the previous record volume of 67,823 contracts traded August 10.
