  • Euronext And Tokyo Stock Exchange Sign An Agreement For General Cooperation

    Euronext and Tokyo Stock Exchange today signed an agreement outlining general cooperation. Cooperation between the two Exchanges will facilitate the development and efficient operation of both markets and contribute to investor protection.

  • CBOT August Volume Sets Record At 36.5 Million Contracts

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced record trading volume of 36,482,162 contracts for August 2002, up 58.6% from August 2001 and up 31.7% year-to-date (YTD) at 222,846,728. August 2002 volume was up 9.8% from the previous monthly volume record set in July 2002 at 33,240,174.

  • August Volume: CME's August Volume Surpasses All Previous Augusts

    Trading volume on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) in August surpassed any previous August in the exchange's history, as 48.3 million contracts changed hands, a 41 percent increase over year-ago levels. The underlying value of CME's August trading volume totaled $30.4 trillion. Year-to-date, CME volume of 366.8 million contracts is 44 percent higher than 2001 levels.
